Good morning Canyon Farms!

Wanted to introduce myself to all of you readers and let you get to know me and who I am as your Superintendent.  I have been in the golf industry most of my life where I have worked as a Volunteer, Grounds Crewman, Assistant, Spray Technician, General Manager and Superintendent.

I have a Bachelor of Science of Science Degree from Iowa State University specializing in Horticulture and Turf Management.  After my college years I began my Superintendent career at Royal Meadows Golf Course in Kansas City, MO where I was apart of a an entire Maintenance Facility construction, irrigation expansions and was blessed with being in the duel role of General Manager and Superintendent.  For this duel role I was honored with Superintendent of the Year for all Eagle Golf properties ranging from Texas to Minnesota.

In 2010 I was given the chance to go back home to Ames Golf and Country Club in Ames, IA being their Head Superintendent.  In my time at AGCC we did 2 large pond renovations, tree plantings, native area enhancements, record Moss infestation eradication and I achieved my GCSAA Certification.

After a while I began to miss being a Superintendent down in Kansas City, even though Ames is where I grew up, Kansas City is where I belong.  I was presented the opportunity to join the staff at Deer Creek Golf Club and be their Superintendent.  In my short time at Deer we installed an entire new pump station, overhauled and repaired 8 bridges and after much work replaced the #10 bridge washed out from the 2013 Flood.

Which brings me to now, Canyon Farms Golf Club, where I am extremely excited to be your Head Superintendent! The very first time I stepped foot on the property and saw this golf course I knew this was where I wanted to be.  I am looking forward to all of the many projects that make up a golf course and will thoroughly enjoy seeing all the spectacular views that Canyon Farms brings each and every day!

I look forward to meeting all of you in the coming months!
